The leather look consists of 70% cowhide leather fibres, 30% polyester and has a Martindale of 30,000. The material is made up of two parts: the bottom layer consists of recycled leather fibres, which provides the natural look. The top layer is a polyester overlay that protects the leather and prevents unevenness. This makes it a sturdy combination fabric. The microfibre is knitted from very small, synthetic fibres. This manufacturing technique provides the firmness and a fine, soft feel. The fabric is very colourfast. During use, the appearance and structure of the fabric will show its natural characteristics more, this does not change the quality. Elephant Skin is a leather look made of 50% nylon and 50% vegan leather. Depending on use, the beautiful robust material becomes softer like real leather. Elephant Skin has as much as a Martindale of 100,000 due to its compact production technique, meaning the fabric will not wear or tear easily with intensive use. The synthetic combination fabric has a natural leather look and feels supple and soft. Our Jarra velvet fabric has a luxurious look and feel. The fabric feels fine and has a nice light sheen. The Jarra velvet consists of 100% polyester and has a full and heavy quality. The material is therefore suitable for intensive use (Martindale 100,000). Besides its stylish design, the velvet fabric stays beautiful for a long time. Our Jarra fabric will not pill easily and is colourfast. The fabric is, to the surprise of many, a very easy fabric to maintain. The material of the Colmar bouclé fabric responds to the latest trend: soft materials. The fabric is comfortable and has an elegant texture. Our Colmar bouclé has a Martindale of 100,000, which means the fabric is suitable for intensive use. The dense weave ensures the strength of the fabric, which makes the bouclé unlikely to wear or tear. Each colour also has a high colour fastness, but it is recommended to avoid direct sunlight to avoid colour shades. Maintenance Clean this combination fabric weekly with a damp cloth. Stains? Use a neutral soap to remove the stain and dab off with a damp cloth, definitely do not rub. Rubbing will lead to light stains in the fabric. Do not place the furniture in direct sunlight, this may cause light spots. Discoloured leather look will never regain its original colour. Small stains can easily be removed by dabbing with an absorbent cloth. Larger stains can be easily removed with a mild detergent and a microfibre cloth. If necessary, use a hair dryer to speed up drying of the stain. Do keep enough distance so that the fabric does not burn. Afterwards, the fabric can be brushed with a velvet brush. This brush is very good for weekly maintenance. Protection The Copa leather look and Elephant Skin do not need to be impregnated, treatment with leather grease is highly discouraged. As a rule, we do not recommend impregnating our upholstered furniture. However, should you wish to do so, please test the impregnating agent on an invisible part of the fabric beforehand. Impregnation is strongly discouraged for our velvets and teddy fabrics.
